Let us be extremely patient

I was searching online for a Wendell Berry quote about community that had been referred to in a Dharma talk I listened to on my iPod as I walked along the beach yesterday, basking in the rare winter sun. Instead I found this, from Mother Teresa:

Keep in mind that our community is not composed of those who are already saints, but of those who are trying to become saints. Therefore let us be extremely patient with each other's faults and failures.

Point taken. She may be a controversial figure in some circles but she got that much right. Let us be extremely patient.

That is a great quote. Oh, and I'm probably really dense, but I didn't realize how controversial Mother Teresa was... watched some of those videos, and uh, thought a lot about it afterward.

There really isn't any black and white in our grown-up world, is there?
