It's the first of October and I'm ready to create some space in my life. One way that works for me is a simple cleanse. I've developed my own approach to cleansing after following a number of well known cleanses in the past.
I would love some company along the way so, if you are ready to feel lighter, brighter, clearer and more energetic then join in.
This cleanse works just as well in autumn as it does in spring, so join in if you are heading into fall as well.
Today, day one, your task is simply to commit to the cleanse. Don't think about it too much. This is not an intense process or an extreme cleanse. It is a gentle cleanse that will ease the pressure on your physical and energetic body and open up more space for your energy to flow. In my experience it boosts my creativity and gives me more energy for work and play, so you don't need to wait for a mythical 'quiet' patch to do it.
Day one: make this your gift to yourself, promise yourself a little break from all that is toxic in your life.
Also on the list for today, clear a little space for this self-care. Clear out your pantry and fridge. Over the next few days and weeks we'll be gently easing off caffeine, sugar and alcohol. So have a look around and clear out anything that is not going to serve and support you in this process.
For me, this means getting rid of my secret stash of dark chocolate and putting a sticky note on the door to the wine cupboard that says 'Looking for the sparkling water? It's in the fridge!'
This process is also about taking care of your emotional, energetic and spiritual body so I invite you, today, to carve out five minutes to sit, alone, in silence and simply breath. I'll talk more about breathing in days to come, but for now just settle in, settle down and gently observe your own breath for five minutes.
Okay. That's it for today. Make the gift to yourself. Make the commitment and know that this is not going to be too hard. If I can do it, you can too. Make some space by clearing out anything that won't help you. Make some time to sit in silence and just be in your own company.
Leave a comment here if you are joining me so I can stay in touch and enjoy!
I am so glad I found your space (through twitter)... lovely lovely! I really connect with your writing and journey... i can't wait to hear how the cleanse goes! xo

just what I needed at exactly the right time, someone to check in on and do a cleanse with. I have made some great changes lately. This is what I've been waiting for, to put it all together and get into a great routine, my new life :)

Ooh I think I might need this. I have just had typhoid fever and a yucky amoeba thing (ew), so my system needs some TLC. I would love it if this is REALLY doable. I mean doable in Goma. You know what I mean! xxx

Perfect timing, Marianne! I have been wondering about doing a gentle cleanse recently but didn't know how to go about doing it. I'm in!
It will be a little difficult for me as I don't live alone and share food. But I'll try my best. Also, I would like to ease off on sugar, caffeine and salt. I don't drink alcohol [except in cooking].

good job today is just 'thinking' about the cleanse, as i'm already nursing my second coffee of the morning!
but i am well up for giving this ago... discipline and commitment to healthy activities are not strong areas in my life, but i feel it's a game of numbers... try it enough times something has got to stick :)
so i'm in!

Ohhhhhhhhhhh, maybe I'll be supporting you rather than joining on this one? ((reaches for chocolate bar))

OK! I'll try this! I've been thinking about it for a while but I just can't do it on my own! It's not the alcohol, not even the suggar, it's coffee I can't live without! But I'm going to try very, very hard!
